Monitor Huascar

Huascar monitor was a Peruvian ironclad turret ship used by Peru during the Pacific War against Chile. During months caused several damage to Chile not only by bombarding ports but also capturing or sinking Chilean ships until it was caught in a trap tactic between Chilean ironclads "Cochrane" and "Blanco Encalada" and was defeated and captured in the "Punta de Angamos" batte in october 8th 1879, which was known in the entire world as the first naval battle between ironclads at sea.
